All
rides are half-day activities; any two can be combined
for a full day activity if you so wish. Snacks and refreshment
is provided on half day rides, lunch and snack on a full
day's riding.
San
Lorenzo
The
San Lorenzo tour takes you down to the peaceful Mopan
River. Your ride will then take through a jungle trail
filled with birdsong before once again entering the wide
open pastures. Along the way you are likely to see many
birds such as Parrots, Kiskadees and Herons, as well as
experience the sights and smells of the many trees that
adorn the fields. Included along the way is a stop at
one of the many unexcavated Maya ruins scattered throughout
the valley. This ride ideally suited for novices or those
pressed for time. $35 min 2
Calla
Creek
This
tour takes you to the agricultural village of Calla Creek.
The open, rolling countryside offers many beautiful views
of the river valley. You will also cross the Mopan River
on horseback to experience a taste of country life. Optional
stops along the way include food and drinks at Clarissa
Falls resort and a view of a bamboo furniture workshop.

Xunantunich*
A
quiet riverside trail will take you to the village of
San José Succotz where you will cross the river
by hand-cranked ferry. Just a little further on are the
well known ruins of Xunantunich. After an hour exploring
these ancient Mayan monuments, you will be happy for your
sturdy steed to get you off your feet for your ride home***.

Buena
Vista
This
isolated Mayan ruin is deservedly popular with the more
experienced riders. Hidden behind some lush tropical jungle,
this minor site is virtually untouched, with a small excavated
temple open to the public. To get there, riders must cross
the Mopan River** three times on a trail that takes you
through beautiful open countryside. The trail offers a
unique insight into our countryside.
